You could try the board at our other site, for other outboard questions and manuals for outboard motors. Can ayone tell me the year and whether it indicates long or standed shaft. I bought a boat with a Johnson Super Seahorse 35hp and all what I got is the serial 1920746. The model number will identify the year and certain details of that motor.

I searched for the model number but was unable to find one and it appears that the plate was removed. I am hoping that somebody may be able to help me out. The flatter the angle to the water, the less wetted area and the faster it will go. We know that our customers want convenience and the lowest prices possible. Any help anyone could give would be appreciated. There are no nameplates or identifying placards. P art is no longer available.
The top of the shift rod is threaded and has a nut on it where it attaches to the shift lever. Also the plug wires do come from under the flyhwheel. A tag on the motor does show the manufacturing date.
Could somebody please tell me what year it is? Can you verify this so we can find the right parts list? There are manuals for it on the MarineEngine. I have been told it is a 1989. On the side it says evinrude aquasonic. I need to rebuild it. You might need to look a the different horsepowers to figure out what you have. Should it have a second id plate and what would be on it.

Any insights would be greatly appreciated. I just dont want to get this running, put it in the water and find out that I have just blown out all my low end lube and replaced it with water.
