The problem has been consistent over the past two weeks - the car runs fine when cold, and once it heats up, it starts with the hesitation and the accelrator pedal problems. Its like it hesitates before it takes off again instead of a smooth acceleration. It could probably be done using some very tiny clips.

The check engine light came on codes P1127 and P1600 and the throttle would only work in the last 30% of pedal travel. I had probs with hesitation when accelerating from 1st to 2nd gear as if the transmission was slipping, I reset the ecu and it temporalilly fixed it. It is like there is no response from the throttle pedal for the first half. There is a throttle cable fitted as standard but only as a back up. I talked to the dealer and they told me it was the computer getting used to my driving habits.
Don't muck around with nasty 2nd hand parts. Took it the dealer the next day had them check the car out and run a diagnostics. Have swapped the trottle body, and problem is the same. What sort of outfit strips and rebuilds an engine and quite happy to let the customer running like a bag of nails?. With the new cps installed, the P1600 code is still present. I looked once before and everything looked good. I'll show you how to adjust it by the book and I'll explain my method as well. Make Sure the acceleartor Pedal is fully released 2. The idle went crazy and upto 3000rpm on cold start. The check engine and trac lights are also on; the code i get for the check engine light is P1120. . It doesn't seem to cause any issues. However I am still experiencing that quirk during acceleration, specially when turning it hesitates to go and unless a step on in harder it won't react.
