Now I wonder if I should add a third blank track, cut and paste from the two camera tracks into that third track and make that the track I render. The ability to edit Multi-Cam Video in Movie Studio Platinum 13 or older is not technically supported, however there is a cool hack you can do to force Multi-Cam mode. I was actually fairly surprised at just how well it worked. I align them visually by eyeballing the audio understanding that you can't align exactly because the cameras aren't gen-locked or whatever you call it plus the audio isn't guaranteed to be synched to the video anyway in consumer grade cameras.

You can do hard cuts or you can do a fade out or fade in on the upper track for a disolve effect. There are a couple newer video editing programs on the market. Multi-Cam Editing Videos for interviews, commercials, music videos, etc can include multiple cameras to record the same scene. You can use your mouse pointer and change which video is the Active Video. Creative control Enjoy over 2,000 video filters, transitions and effects.
All of the plug-ins offered with the full version is also included. If you step up to the Pro version of Vegas yep, its a lot more money there are other options for multicam editing. Boost colors, apply slow motion, or add other effects to enhance any video project. The only way you could synchronise audio using the method in this tutorial, would be to open your videos in the Trimmer window and create sub-clips first. I actually had a clue about this and would do as you have suggested, but I really wanted a switcher.

I was curious about v13 vs v14 so I loaded the files into version 13 and the multi-camera editing feature seemed to work fine without any hick-ups. We set out and shot a minute of video from two different iPhones, and brought the clips to Final Cut Pro for editing.
